BIB numbers: category-wise, starting at each category's "BIB Start No." set in Settings → Age Categories (auto-expands, no upper limit)
Bulk Photo Upload
Upload athletes first (above), then select all their photo files at once here. Name each photo file with that athlete's BIB number — e.g.
101.jpg, or BIB-205.png, or 301_John.jpg all work, since only the first number in the filename is used to find the match. Any file whose number doesn't match a loaded athlete is skipped and listed so you can rename and re-try just those.
Browser Storage (this device only)
Offline file (save into your software folder)
Downloads a full meet backup .json file. Move/copy it into your software folder (e.g.
C:\AthleticsMeetPro\Backups\).
Later use Load from File to restore offline — no internet needed.
DISK MODE OFF — start START_APP.bat
Recommended: open software with
START_APP.bat so meet data is written to
data\meets\ on this computer (not only browser). Closing Chrome will not wipe disk files.

Sets how many lanes/positions the Heat & Lane Draw side-panels and their print sheets use — match this to how many usable lanes your actual track has (e.g. 7, not the standard 8, if one lane is out of use).

Meet Management (Core Leadership)
These roles cover the whole meet (not per event). Fill once.
Track/Field crews below can still be set category-wise and event-wise.
Official Photos (for ID cards)
Upload a photo for each official. Photos print on the front of ID cards. Assign officials first (Quick Fill / event cards), then add photos here.
⚡ Quick Fill — same official for many events
Track / Relay: one Starter or Recall Starter often works every race — use Quick Fill.
Field: crews are often category-wise and event-wise (e.g. different judges for Long Jump vs High Jump). Fill each event below, or set one event then use Copy → all FIELD in this category. For alternates type

ⓘ Certificate sizes vary by meet, so set the exact size below, then
drag each label on the preview to position it. Positions are saved as
percentages, so they stay correct even if you change the size later.
Logo/photo needs a direct image URL (same as Sponsor Logos in Settings) —
this app has no file server, so images must already be hosted somewhere
(Google Drive share link, Imgur, your school website, etc.) and you paste
the link here, not upload a file directly.
Print One Athlete's Certificate by BIB
Type a BIB number — every saved detail (name, category, school, zone, district, state, class, DOB, photo, and any event they placed in) is pulled automatically from the athlete database, no re-typing needed. A photo upload box for that athlete will appear here too — no URL needed, just choose a file from your device.
Award positions to print (comma-separated, e.g. 1,2,3)
Certificate Template & Design
Venue is pulled automatically from Settings → Meet Information — set it there once and it'll show on every certificate. Each athlete's own photo is set individually via BIB Numbers → Edit on that athlete.
Click a label to select it (font size & visibility options appear below), drag to reposition. Preview is scaled down — actual print uses the exact mm size above.
World Athletics start procedure (Rule 16): Starter gives "On your marks", then "Set", then fires. Any athlete responsible for a false start is disqualified immediately — zero-tolerance, no warnings — the race is recalled and restarted without that athlete. Finish (Rule 19): placing is decided by which part of the torso (not head/arm/leg/hand/foot) reaches the finish line first; timing starts at the gun and runs continuously to the finish.
Start Sequence
Ready — tap "On Your Marks" to begin
00:00.00
Follow the numbered commands in order — Set and the firing buttons unlock only after the previous command. The stopwatch starts the instant the gun/whistle fires, matching how official timing works.
Finish-Line Camera Aid
A simplified stand-in for an official slit-scan photo-finish camera — good enough for close-call judging at school/district level, using this device's own camera. Camera and mic ask permission only once per session — allow when prompted; switching tabs will not ask again.
Running this on a SEPARATE device from the Starter?
There's no network link between devices in this app — but this device can listen for the actual gun or whistle from the starter through its own microphone, and start its own clock the instant it hears it. No connection needed at all.
Camera off — tap "Start Camera" below
Point the camera at the finish line, then tap Capture right as athletes cross — each snapshot is stamped with the stopwatch time on the left. Or tap Record to capture continuous video and review it frame-by-frame afterward.
Tap "Finish Line" and drag the red line so it lines up exactly with the real finish line in the shot — like the vertical reference line in professional photo-finish systems. It stays in the same place while you scrub through the replay, so whichever torso is at the line at that instant is the decision. Rule 19: torso only — not head, neck, arms, legs, hands, or feet.
📸 Photo Finish Timing Detector — combined with Start Sequence
One race flow: select Category → Event → Heat, then fire the Gun above.
Same stopwatch + camera + finish order. Positions are timed from the gun (WA Rule 19).
1. Event Type & Lane Positions (from Start List)
Sprint: Watches all 8 lanes; first torso past the line = Position 1 (WA Rule 19)
Middle/Long: Single line; each runner timed in arrival order

🔌 Camera Bridge (optional) — no permission popup + live scoreboard
⚪ Not connected — run pf_bridge.py on this laptop first, then click Connect Bridge instead of Webcam.

2. Calibrate & Detect
⚙ Advanced slit-scan calibration
PC tips: Use Chrome or Edge. Load a local MP4 (no internet needed) OR click Webcam and Allow camera.
1) Select Sprint/Middle/Long → 2) Align yellow line → 3) Capture empty-track baseline → 4) Start Monitoring.
Auto-ranks ~2.8s after last hit. Empty lanes OK. Or press Stop & Rank.

PR / SR Records (Personal & Season Records)
ⓘ Upload one row per athlete+event that has a known record — not a wide grid, since
different categories have different events. Only add rows for events that actually apply.
Once uploaded, the event's best PR/SR shows automatically at the top of that event's Start List,
and any official's entry that beats a record is tagged PR or
SR during Timing & Results.
Drop your PR/SR Records XL here — or click to browse
